KAPITAN KORSAKOV IS WELL HUNGRY

Tearing up the stage of a renowned live venue like the Vooruit in Ghent? Sepultura were the last ones to have this honour when they introduced the Belgians to “Arise” in 1991. That was until Kapitan Korsakov arrived on the scene. In 2007 during the final of the East-Flemish Rock Rally they completely tore the place apart. The boys are notorious for their energetic live shows, making them very welcome guests in the gigging circuit; more often than not they get off the stage with at least a couple of cuts and bruises. Once the singer almost broke his own jaw with his guitar. You can imagine that the fact they didn’t win the Rock Rally had very much to do with the total K.O of the jury.

Since then Kapitan Korsakov did not sit still. They kept working hard on their songs and live performance. They even supported The Black Box Revelation and the lovely people of the amazing Crystal Antlers confessed their love to them.
At Boomtown Festival this summer, they played a mind-blowing set and more and more people mention them as “the ones to watch”, even Vice Magazine is a huge fan.

On October 13th 2009 they will release their debut album “Well Hunger” which perfectly captures all the bravado of this gifted trinity on disc. Expect to be blown away and left with an utterly empty feeling after the last note has left your speakers making it impossible to resist the urge to press play again. At least that’s what everyone's saying who already had a listen. Their CD-release party will be on October 13th at Minnemeers in Ghent, where they play together with Mudhoney.

Some people say they play garage punk, hard rock or prog rock but we believe Kapitan Korsakov is just the perfect drug for an hour of pure, unadulterated ALTERNATIVE NATION!
